Kitchen Gadgets! Useful, gimmicky, practical, and sometimes just silly. I love my kitchen gadgets and maybe you feel the same about yours. I decided it was time to do a post of my most favourite Top 10 Kitchen Tools & Gadgets but try as I might I couldn’t do just ten. I could have easily done a Top 20 but my goal was to see if I could bring it down to ten. I compromised with lucky 13. None of my fave gadgets are in the photo above. I kept those for the pics below.
I didn’t include my favourite mixing spoon or knife that I use all the time because they’re not so much a gadget. Some of my gadgets are well worn which generates a “love factor”. My gadgets listed below are in no particular order so you can assume that they are all in the Number 1 spot. By the way, it just so happens that the majority of my gadgets are from The Pampered Chef. I do not work for them or get a kick back from them for mentioning their name. They just have some great gadgets that I love. UPDATE: I joined The Pampered Chef in August 2017! I love them so much I decided to sell their product on Cranberry Kitchen. Come have a look on my home page!
1) Instant Read Thermometer
I never knew how much I needed this little gadget until my regular digital thermometer broke and this was all I could find at the time. Wowzers! This is great for getting specific and fast temperatures on cooking meat, liquids or anything you heat up. Fahrenheit and Celsius features. I bought it at the grocery store so I can’t give you a link for this exact model. Here’s a selection on Amazon.
I will be the first to admit that I cannot open jars with the brut strength that I once had in my youth. This jar opener is the perfect gadget to help me out. With almost no effort, the jar lid seal is popped and can be twisted off with my finger tips. I bought it at Lee Valley. You can get it here.
4) Vegetable Peeler
14) BONUS Kitchen Gadget!
The next question is: Where do I put all of my gadgets? I have this kitchen gadget caddy and it sits on my counter. Highly practical and no more rummaging though a messy draw to find what I’m looking for. It’s called the Tool Turn-About by Pampered Chef. It spins around with ease. I think every kitchen needs one of these!
